My husband works grounds. This means that with each impending snow or ice storm, he needs to come in to work to help clear paths and parking lots. Needless to say, weather does not always choose to begin at a decent time, and he often needs to come in at random, ungodly hours.
And, the fact that we only have one car means that I also have to come into work at random, ungodly hours.

For instance, today it is currently 4:57 a.m. and I am at work.
I really do hate to complain, however, what makes me grumpy is not so much the fact the we had to come in early... it is the fact that we are here... and the snow/ice is not.
No slick spots in the road and nary a drip from the sky.... When I have to get up early for weather, there better be some stinkin' weather!
The coffee will surely be a-flowin' today.

I was thinking of you this morning at 5:30 when I was driving home from work. And I was thinking "Hmm... it doesn't look like it's snowing..." and I was hoping it meant you wouldn't have to go in. I'm sorry you had to anyway! Lame sauce!
